91.1 KNSK sets a new record for farthest-away FM at my location, at 348 miles (per Google Earth). The previous record was WOI (also coming in today) at about 275 miles. Listen to KNSK’s station ID (also would be a WOI ID, though this was recorded on 91.1) over the top of local WIBI here.
9 AM update – most stations still coming in. Listen to the 9 AM ID on KGRS Burlington here.
101.5 is now WBNQ Bloomington instead of KKSI Ottumwa. If KPLA is coming in at all, it’s consistently been behind other signals all morning.
93.3 is now KMXV Kansas City.
10 AM update –
- 34kW KLFG 89.5 Fort Dodge, IA received over the top of local KCFV. This ties KNSK for farthest log, as they transmit from the same tower (although KLFG is 1/3 the ERP of KNSK making it even more notable).
- 90.1 WOI coming in so strongly the RDS (although not HD Radio) decodes.
- I am only getting KNSK (no WIBI) on 91.1.
- 92.7 – KTWA Ottumwa came in briefly over the top of W224DC
- 93.9 KSSZ Fayette, MO
- 94.3 KATI California, MO drowning out W232CR
- 97.5 KJMO Linn, MO
- 97.7 – KPOW La Monte, MO clear (no KHZY)
- 107.7 – strong interference affecting KSLZ St. Louis
10:30 AM –
- 107.1 KNWI coming in strong again. Was K296HA just a few minutes ago.
- 89.3 contemporary Christian music – no ID
